"Iceland, a story of newly discovered mystery that would string the Australian bows of nordic mayhem".
Upon arriving for our Icelandic adventure there was no doubt a cocktail of epicness was running through our heads. Many questions were lingering and garnishing the anticipation.
Will we be forced to eat shark head soup?
Is free willy still alive?
How many Saunas can we go to?
Are some Icelandics’ undercover elves?
Will Paul get to meet Bjork?
What kind of music culture is ripping in Reykjavik?
Along with the amazing artist Lucian Blomkamp and Stephen Goodhew and Clare Holland from FBI, we were all first timers coming in hot. We arrived in the evening and were driven to the hotel where we would spend the next 8 days. The drive out to Reykjavik was rad; the surroundings were a mix of mountains and water glued together with an arctic climate. We had recently watched Heima, the Sigur Ros documentary so I think we had a basic idea of what to expect in terms of the environment.
